A Thought Over Coffee

Pour the cup. Pull up a chair — you’re always welcome here.

Howdy Worthy Creative,

Pour the cup and pull up a chair for a moment.

There’s a quiet trap that a lot of creatives fall into when their confidence has taken a hit.

Planning.

Not bad planning — thoughtful planning.

Planning the structure.

The system.

The roadmap.

And the strange thing about planning is that it feels like progress.

You’re working.

Thinking.

Building ideas.

But sometimes planning quietly becomes a way to stay productive without risking exposure.

I know that trap well.

For the first couple of years of building Worthy Creative U, I spent a lot of time designing what the project would become.

The structure.

The message.

The philosophy.

Some of that time was necessary. A few wounds needed time to heal.

But eventually I realized something important:

Clarity didn’t arrive when the plan was finished.

Clarity arrived the moment I released something imperfect and public.

That small step created evidence.

And once evidence exists, momentum starts to build.

Not all at once.

But enough.

If you’ve been waiting a long time to begin something again creatively, maybe the next step isn’t a perfect plan.

Maybe it’s just something small.

A sentence.

A sketch.

An idea shared out loud.

Not for the world.

Just for you.

In the Lantern’s Light

One of the things I’ve noticed while working with Robert is that creatives often believe they need certainty before they move.

But creativity has a different rhythm.

Movement creates evidence.

Evidence builds confidence.

Confidence invites the next step.

It rarely begins with a perfect plan.

It usually begins with something much smaller:

A moment where someone quietly decides,

“I’m going to try again.”

If that moment is close for you right now, take it gently.

And start small.

Sometimes the most helpful moment in a creative journey isn’t advice.

It’s hearing how someone else kept going.

So if you feel comfortable sharing, I’d love to hear from you.

Have you ever found yourself waiting for the perfect plan before starting something creative again?

And if you have, what helped you take the first step?

You can reply directly to this newsletter — I read every message.

This little coffee shop works best when the conversation goes both ways.

You are still worthy. You always were.

Until next time, worthy creative,
